COMMANDANT UMAR CALLS FOR STRONGER INTER-AGENCY COLLABORATION

 












The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, has emphasized the need for sustained inter-agency collaboration to effectively tackle security challenges in Nigeria.

He made this call on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, while receiving the newly deployed Kwara State Immigration Service Controller, CC Abolupe O. Bewaji, during a courtesy visit to his office in Ilorin.

Commandant Mohammed highlighted the importance of synergy among security agencies, noting that enhanced intelligence sharing and improved operational efficiency are key to ensuring a safer society. He commended the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for its critical role in border security and migration management, stressing that enhanced collaboration between both agencies would further strengthen efforts to combat transnational crimes and other security threats.

In her remarks, CC Abolupe O. Bewaji expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed her commitment to fostering a strong working relationship with the corps and other security agencies in the state.
